According to scientists, in t years from now in a certain country, the size of the dog population will be given by the function f(t) = 3^5t+1, while the size of the cat population will be given by the function g(t) = 3^4t+7. Within which time span will these populations be the same size?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you sure that's what you meant with your expressions. Currently what you have written is: f(t) = 243*t + 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what is says in the book!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait its just 34^t+7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What I mean is because you havent used superscripts, it's not clear whether what you typed is what you mean. Use brackets to make sure you've typed what you meant.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, and f(t)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(t) is still the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as written before
