\[\frac{-8}{x-5}\] You cannot divide by 0 so you need to see what number makes the denominator zero.. so to do that set the denominator equal to 0 and solve for x\[x - 5 = 0\] \[x = 5\] So the excluded value would be 5 because it makes the denominator 0
