Does anyone know how to find surface area?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Find the surface area for a prism with a perimeter of 24, area of a base of 24 and a height of 20.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand what you mean by perimeter for this...prisim's don't have perimeters?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you even dont need to formula while solving such problems..........think of figure in your mind......unfold it......................................mentally ofcourse........and use formula of area for each regular shaped figures

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Twice the area of either end plus the perimeter of the base times the height. This assumes that the prism is not leaning over.\[2*24+24*20=528 \] http://math.com/tables/geometry/surfareas.htm#prism
