-_- how to solve this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1322535329830:dw| gow can i prove that these lines are parallel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, 107 + 73 is 180. because of the corresponding angles theorem (which states that corresponding angles in a transversal are congruent), you know that the two lines are parallel.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they're parallel because 107 + 73 = 180 ? i can tell by just looking but the explanation part kills me lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are not parraallel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they would be parallel if both of the angles were equal.......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please explain , lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a and b are corresponding angles and two lines can be parallel if corresponding angles are equal not when sum is 180 if the case was for co interior angles, their sum 180 make them parallel
