OpenStudy (anonymous):
\[x-2\sqrt{2x}=16\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
x-2√2√x-16=0
(√x)^2-2√2√x-16=0
(√x)^2-2√2√x+2-16=2
(√x-√2)^2=18
√x-√2=3√2 or √x-√2=-3√2
√x=4√2 or √x=-2√2
√x should be always positive.
so √x = 4√2
x = 32

\[x-2\sqrt{5x}=15\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
(√x)^2-2√5√x+5=15+5
(√x-√5)^2=20
√x-√5=2√5 or √x-√5=-2√5
√x=3√5 or √x=-√5
√x should be positive.
so, x = 45
