find solution point(s) on a graph for square root of X-4=8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is \[\sqrt{x-4}=8\]?

When you see expressions like this, try to square both sides to get rid of the root. Something squared root squared will naturally just be the radical (the number or expression under the square root). Once this is done, solving is easy.
