30 sqrt 11 - 6 sqrt 11 = 24 sqrt 11, how do i do this on a calculator (ti-84 plus)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

instead of getting 106.1319933

OpenStudy (mertsj):

24 times 11sqrt

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i want to know how to type the equation into a caltulator instead of getting a long decimal answer, i need a square root answer

OpenStudy (mertsj):

The square root answer is the one you gave, 24sqrt11

i want to know how to type in 30 sqrt 11 - 6 sqrt 11 and not get 106.1319933

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rather get what you put above

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I don't know that. Doesn't your calculator have a users manual? Different calculators handle it differently and some calculators don't show radicals.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that is called a radical?
