need help please help me solve:the population of a city is growing at a rate proportional to its population. the population 20 years ago was 100 000 and today it is 150 000. find the population 20 years from now

I need the working with the formula
we already know that in 20 years the population changed from 100,000 to 150,000 so we do this 150,000 / 100,000 = 1.5 1.5 is also the same as 150% or 7.5% increase per year so all we do is 150,000 * 1.5 = 225,000 we dont need to change anything as it is the same amount of years
