Write the quadratic function in vertex form. Then identify the vertex. y=x^2+20x+90…please explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the vertex via \[x=-\frac{b}{2a}\] in this case you get \[-\frac{20}{2}=-10\] for the first coordinate. replace x by -10 to find the second coordinate of the vertex

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=(x+10)^2-10 so V(-10;-10)

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

sat, can u please come back to my question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you will find that y = -10 as well, so you get what ghass said \[y=(x+10)^2-10\]
