what is the effect of cofactor/coenzyme/prosthetic group on enzyme activity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope to have a supportive reply from your side :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1) cofactor- is the meatallic factor like cu+2, mg+2 etc which helps the substrate to bind in the active site of enzyme if cofactor is not present then the substrate is unable to get attach with active site and without substrate there is no use of enzyme indeed it become useless 2)coenzyme -it is non protein organic groups which get loosely attached with apoenzyme(made up of protein). its function is to prevent stopage of process as substrate get loosely attach with active site, if it is not the substrate of that enzyme it will get seperated itself as u know evry enzyme had its own substrate. 3)prosthetic group - non protein organic part dat tightly get attached with apoenzyme and prevent working by changing the configuration of enzyme due to which subtrate is unable to get attach.
