a man and woman have a son who is color blind,a recessive sex-linked trait carried on the X-chromosomes,but neither parent is color blind. the woman is now pregnant with their second child.which of the following statements are true about the second child?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

What are the statements?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. son will be color blind because the mother is a carrier of the recessive allele. B. daughter will be color blind because the father is a carrier of the recessive allele C. son will be color blind because the father's mother must have been a carrier for recessive allele. D. daughter will not be color blind because the father is not a carrier of the recessive allele.

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Uh if its an X chromosome then is till likely be a daughter i believe it will be D. Not 100% about this because genetics are kinda tricky

OpenStudy (anonymous):
