you can see on the graph that 1 cm is steady at 1 till 3 pm and you also see that 3cm is steady at 5 - 6 pm

Looking at the graph, I'd say D. The line rose by 1 from noon to 1 PM. Then the graph rose by 2 between 3 and 5 PM.
