A person's car uses 8 gal of gasoline to travel 132 mi. He has 3 gal of gasoline in the car, and he wants to know how much more gasoline he will need to drive 200mi. If we assume that the car continues to use gasoline at the same rate, how many gallons will he need?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The car gets 132/8, 16.5, miles per gallon and can be driven 16.5 * 3, 49.5, miles with the 3 gallons on board. (200-49.5)/16.5, 9.13, gallons have to be added to the car's fuel tank.
