What is the smallest perimeter possible for a rectangle whose area is 16in^2 and what are its dimensions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area = length * width Perimeter = 2*length + 2*width = 2*length + 2*Area/length = 2(length + 16/length) Now, differentiate it and set to zero to find length. Then, find width using area formula.
