for f(x) = {[2,3],[4,4],[5,8]} and g(x)= {[2,4],[3,5],[4,2],[8,4]} Find F o G and G o F if they exist. Helpp meee !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets do \[f\circ g\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first we do g, then we do f. g sends 2 to 4 , because you have (2,4) in g. f sends 4 to 4 because of (4,4) so \[f\circ g(2)=f(g(4))=4\] meaning that (2,4) is on the graph of \[f\circ g\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now more quickly g sends 3 to 5 and f sends 5 to 8 so on we have (3,8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g sends 4 to 2 f sends 2 to 3, so we get (4,3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and finally g sends 8 to 4 f sends 4 to 4, so we get (8,4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and so \[f\circ g =\{(2,4) ,(3,8), (4,3),(8,4)\}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and thats all ?
