How do you find out the horizontal asymptote of any problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you have a rational function ( one polynomial over another) then compare the degrees of the numerator and denominator. if numerator is higher, not horizontal asymptote if denominator is higher, horizontal asymptote is y = 0 if they are the same, horizontal asymptote is y = ratio of leading coefficients
