What is: u= vw + z; for v

hero (hero):

So what is the first step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what I'm saying I have no clue. No one explained.

hero (hero):

The goal is to get v on one side by itself and put all of the other variables on the other side of the equation. We have to properly manipulate the equation to do that.

hero (hero):

The first step is to subtract z from both sides: u - z = vw

hero (hero):

If you don't understand the steps I'm showing you, interrupt at any time and ask questions.

hero (hero):

The next step is to divide both sides by w: (u- z)/w = vw/w

hero (hero):

On the right side, the w's cancel leaving you with an equation where v is on one side, isolated: v = (u - v)/w
