Explain the significance of the numerical constant of y=0.815x + 0.0987. What is the constant that relates force and acceleration?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

May be x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, x is a variable. So it's gotta be either .815 or .0987... and i really wanna say .815 because x is interacting with that in the biggest way... but i'm not 100% sure :/

OpenStudy (lalaly):

were u asked to graph that?

OpenStudy (lalaly):

the constant that relates force and acceleration is the mass .....because the relationship between force and acceleration is linear ... so the slope of the line is the mass ... here the slope is 0.815 which is the mass

OpenStudy (lalaly):

\[slope =\frac{\Delta y}{\Delta x}\] |dw:1322823711797:dw|
