OpenStudy (anonymous):

does anyone is good at physics & velocity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill attach a file now! :)

hero (hero):

There's a physics forum somewhere around here. Maybe you should go there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But there is not a lot of ppl. So I won't have a good chance of someone helping me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hero (hero):

Hold on....I will provide you with a website. Let me know if it helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay! :)

hero (hero):

That to me is a good set of videos for introducing physics concepts

hero (hero):

Once you understand the concepts, then you can take a look at khan academy's videos: http://www.khanacademy.org

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! But do you know how to fine the slope of a line?

hero (hero):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you look at the file i sent here before?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need to find the slope of the line between 4.3 & 8.8 seconds

hero (hero):

Just use the slope formula. Don't tell me you don't know it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ride over run?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rise**

hero (hero):

Okay, so what's the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=slope+formula+in+math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://www.purplemath.com/modules/slope.htm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just don't know how to do it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

look at the second link I gave.

hero (hero):

If I were you, I wouldn't even try doing physics unless I know at least up to trig and pre-cal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not my fault my school put me there.. I reallyy hate physics, too much thinking.

hero (hero):

You have no chance in that course if you don't understand algebra

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I kinda do understand it, but not so much. I'm passing tho.. with a B (: so far..

hero (hero):

But you don't know how to find the slope between two points? Odd...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i hate graphing.

hero (hero):

Somebody must be giving you the answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not planning on becoming a scientist, so i dont know why i need to know this. . .

hero (hero):

I hate to say this, but you need to love graphing to be able to make it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nobody gives me answers.

hero (hero):

I used to hate it myself, but I quickly learned that hating it wasn't going to get me anywhere. I started to appreciate it more once I got myself a Quad Book

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the reason i don't get it, is because of my teacher. he says everyone in the class is a failure.

hero (hero):

I will never ever teach at a public school. The system failed, not the students nor the teachers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I used to go to a catholic school, not I'm in pubic hs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so much different.

hero (hero):

I'm sorry to hear that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I actually wanted to go to a public hs.

hero (hero):

now you regret it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no uniforms! (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not reallly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is just too much fake people.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

public schools are a mess

hero (hero):

Public schools are a public playground for adolescents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ your right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're* (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for correcting me lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahaa, no problem(:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To many bad people go to plubic hs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

too * (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol ok i'll stop.. (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*public

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what grade you in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

word me to

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol high fiveee!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahaha i do mine on flvs -_- i got kicked our of school

OpenStudy (anonymous):

woww.. lmao

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what happened?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol do you have a fb and ill tell you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dooo.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats your link?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

should i add you? lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its up to you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my 2 cents is physics requires atleast precalc and even better if you have a good foundation of calculus. To find slope in physics you dont use rise over run. You use derivatives. So maybe get familiar with the stuff.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know its not easy though. I took it in highschool and I hated it. Took it in college it was way more fun.
