what is time travel?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Back_to_the_Future

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the change in the time axis/dimension at will

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i.e. Sci-fi fantasy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Time travel refers to travelling to the future basically, (as the vic versa it impossible) time travel allows us to mess up th curvature of space and time, and all other dimensions that exist, and displace ourselves thorough the very fabric of space and time. Its a practicle idea, and protypes of time machine ahve already been built, but the need a lot of high energy to be foccused a a small point inspace and time, so we r just waiting for the next breakthrough in optics, to finally devoloop a time machine,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm. stom, tell me how travel into the past is impossible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Better yet, tell me how travel into the future is possible. Besides the good old fashioned way, i.e. waiting...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the grandfather paradox,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the grandfather paradox only works in linear time, if time splits when time travel occurs the grandfather paradox can be avoided

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dear jem3, if one were to approach the speed of light and allow time to pass more slowly, the waiting process would be significantly optimized

OpenStudy (anonymous):

While that's true, I am out of shape, and therefore cannot reach sufficient speeds on my bicycle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the increase gravity signicantly and create the same effect (funny joke by the way)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you, I try. And yeah, but that would require a tremendous gravitational field, in which we would be sadly very much squashed. So I think we're pretty dead in the water for the time being.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no no wait umm... how about the negatation of charge in every elementary particle and isolate it to prevent annihilation, and thereby, theoretically, created a relative negative time flow

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or even better create the effective field of antimatter, ergo, creating a probality to have a version go back in time a matter or forward a antimatter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It'd probably be easier just to find a DeLorean lying around somewhere.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

true true but a man can try
