I think you should read the definition from your textbook if you have it nearby to see if it picks a definition.

d is wrong. different species can occupy the same niche, like two thermophile bacteria b is wrong as a donkey and a horse can interbreed i think that the hybrid is a mule. sorry i am not a native english speaker a - dont know how to relate c sounds right by positive selection as well as elimination above
