whats the slope between the points (-4,6) and (2,10)?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

subtract the points and stack y/x

OpenStudy (amistre64):

(-4,6) -( 2,10) ------- -6,-4 ; slope = -4/-6

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

y-y/x-x

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

use that formula

OpenStudy (amistre64):

formula is a concise representation; the steps still have to be worked thru; which is why i do it my way :)

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

i kno amistre but it u worked it already so i couldnt work it anyway just giving the formula so they can try first

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i coulda worked it wrong tho; i do have a propensity for error ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks guys :)

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

really huh? lemme work it

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

ah yes, amistre u forgot to simplify if i were to simplify -4/-6 it would be 4/6 and then simplify tht u would get 2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (amistre64):

see, I always leave room for improvement ;)
