Actually, what is an enzymes?
Enzymes are proteins which catalyze all biochemical reactions. Besides their importance as biologic catalysts, they have many industrial and medical uses. Presence of an enzyme and its concentration in a biologic compartment, determines the capability of such compartment to carry out a biochemical reaction and the speed it has.
An enzyme is basically a catalyst which enhance reaction rate of biological reactions. It do it by reducing activation energy. In addition to normal properties of catalyst, enzymes show stereo specificity (L and D form). And carry out reaction in biological system.
biological catalyst which help in digestion.
Enzymes are a kind of proteins that play an important role in digesting food and utilizing the energy obtained. They are also called as biological catalyst.
They are catalysts which speed the digestion of the food.
Enzyme catalyses many reactions And NOT ONLY DIGESTION OF FOOD.............. SIX classes of enzymes, with diff functions Few Enzyme catalysed reactions DNA replication, transcription, translation, glycolysis kreb cycle, making of alcohol by yeast cell, all cellular reactions
