Are all linear equations functions? Is there an instance when a linear equation is not a function? Give examples to support your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To my knowledge , yes

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If it is a vertical line it is not a function since all the ordered pairs have the same first number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since I don't think verticle or horizontal line are linear

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x=2\] is not a function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

horizontal is ok, that is a constant function, but vertical fails vertical line test miserably

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but isn't x=c still a constant function
