1. A rectangle was formed by placing 2 equal squares side by side. The perimeter of the rectangle is 72 cm. How long is one side of a square? 2. A square has the same area as a rectangle whose length is 8 cm more than a side of the square and whose width is 4 cm less than the side of the square. How long is the side of the square? Find the length and width of the rectangle.

1) P=6x whr x is the length of the square's side 72=6x--->x=72/6=12
I got Number 2 the side of the square is 8
