i dont know whether to use 2,9 or 3,6. how do you know which numbers to use?

since the second term has only 3, your GCF coefficient will be 3. But, you also have a^4 and a^5 to deal with. So, the GCF is 3a^4

ok i see. i get confused on which numbers to use when i know there are more than 2 numbers that can equal one answer
