OpenStudy (mr.math):

You want to find the anti-derivative of the integral or the integrand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Integral please. :X

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first rewrite the integrand as \[\frac{1}{\sin^2(x)}=csc^2(x)\] and then think of what function has this as a derivative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Um, -cot(x)+c?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{\frac{1}{a}}{\frac{a}{a}-a}=\frac{1}{1-a^2}\] by algebra replace a by cosine and get \[\frac{1}{1-\cos^2(x)}=\frac{1}{\sin^2(x)}=\csc^2(x)\] anti derivative of cosecant squared is - cotangent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah you got it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hoorah! :D thanks.
