Please someone look at my questions, I need help urgently!!!

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

ok.....

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

*searching, searching, ctrl f confucious, where is it????*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can't copy and paste it, click on my picture and you'll see them on my wall

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

which one are u taking about?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is one about biologists and another one about coins

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got an answer for the one about coins but i don't understand something about it

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

u have to make 2equations ans solve them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know but i'm not getting the right thing

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

why? where are u stucK?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the person who answered the ones about the coins used 1150 as a whole number instead of $11.50 which is what was given in the problem, i don't understand why that is

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

He converted dollars into cents.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, i get that. now how did you get the population of the fish?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

i googled it.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

hehe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D lol are you serious?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you have no idea how to do it?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

well, i can get the answer.. let me see again.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

i think i got it.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

600/10 = 60 fishes increase per old fishes tagged. 60 * 800 = new increase. = 48000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't completely understand that, why isn't the 800 divided?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

b/c first time they had 600, out of which only 10 they got back.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

So we will calculate the change per old one fish.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what? "the change per one old fish"???

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

lol, i know it's kind of difficult to understand, but that's how we gonna do it. think of increase of population per old fishes tagged.

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

the way u do the problem is tht u first click good answer for me then do this that then switch this around and then BOOM! MAGICAL! ur answer awaitts in saif's mind:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, but that means there is an increase by ten every time...okay still not getting it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D lmao! okay then, i think the way it works is that you tell me the answer and how you got it, and if i understand i give you a medal :)

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Yes, we will calculate increase of population per increase in old fishes tagged. we are kind of finding the slope here. vertical change over horizontal.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Lol, really? we will do the same way.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, i give up temporarily. i'll write what you said though, cuz that is the right answer

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

=D
