5 1/6 x 3 2/9 i have to estimate each product or quotient.. how do you know if 1/6 and 2/9 is more or less than 1/2

take 1/2 and put the denominator = to 6/9 3/6 and 4.5/9 both are less than 1/2

what about 11/12 and 5/9 i don't understand what you do to find out if it is more or less. I'm confused
