Can someone help me understand quadratic word problems? I'm trying to learn off this site http://www.purplemath.com/modules/quadprob2.htm ,but I don't understand. Especially the A = hw = [(4/3)w][w] = (4/3)w2 = 192 part

Well, the picture is obiously a rectangle so the formula for its area is A = length*breadth or breadth*height or width*height whatever you say it. In the question its given that one side is 4/3 of the other side. that means that if one side is w than the other side will be (4/3)*w so the area would be A = w*w(4/3)
