Evaluate Gamma Function Γ(6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[5!\] if my memory serves

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's gamma function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i remember correctly \[\Gamma(x)=(x-1)! \text{ for } x\in Z^+\]

OpenStudy (lalaly):

yeah thats right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is generalization of factorial function to real numbers. actually i think complex numbers as well, so perhaps the right way to say it is "analytic continuation" but i don't want to say anything silly so perhaps a google search would be better. it is \[\Gamma(z)=\int_0^{\infty}t^{z-1}e^{-t}dt\]

thanks guys
