Please help me.. My question is about Science.( The skeletal system) the question is: A thick band of bone forms around a broken bone as it heals. In time, the thickened band disappears. Explain how this extra bone can disappear over time. -- PLEASE HELP ME!!1

This is due to the action of the osteoclasts which are the bone-destroying cells gradually destroy the extra bone formed, but there will always be a slight bulge where a fracture has been.
