\[-2x/5-9<9/10\] Add 9 to each side: -2x/5<9/10+9 Multiply both sides by 5: -2x< 5*9/10+45 => -2x<49.5 Divide both sides by -2 and compute: x<-24.75 or x< 99/10
if it was supposed to be -2/(5x)-9<9/10 -2/(5x)<99/10 -20/99<5x 4/99<x or x>4/99
Brackets help clarify in your question where the x should be.
