Occasionally someone asks a very interesting question that results in a lot of responses. It would be nice to see some kind of indicator for this in the same area as you currently display summary stats for a question - i.e. under the bottom left of each question where we currently see stats like:

updated 2 gours ago . No Medals Yet

Maybe if you added a total number of responses or maybe something to indicate how many different people responded to that question? It doesn't have to be a number - maybe some kind of progress bar to indicate how "hot" that question was?

Hmmm given that's alot of info maybe it could appear as a little pop up thing (like with usernames)

I like this idea too.  But it has to be really meaningful.  I would like to feature the top (best) answers of the day.  And this would help.
