Without writing a formal def. as I'm sure you have it in your book this is basically what continuity is.... Consider first only continuity at a single point if the limit at a = f(a) then you have continuity at a Now lets consider continuity over an interval if an interval, S, is continuous then for every point s in S limit at s = f(s) What is mean is an interval is continuous if every point in the interval is continuous.
