There is a large bag with marbles in it. There are 23 red ones, 16 black ones, 5 blue ones, 17 orange ones, 4 white ones, and 15 purple ones. Juanita reaches in without looking and selects one marble. What is the probability that it is purple? A.1/15 B.1/80 C.7 D.3/16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well first add up all of the marbles then you use that as your denominator. Then you you put the number of purple marbles as the numerator. After that you simplify the fraction. It should look like this 15/80. now simplify it. 15/80=3/16 simplified. so your answer is D, 3/16 Please mark this a a good answer :)
