Can someone explain how to convert x - 2y = 7 into the y = m(x) +b format?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first thing you want to do is get the y by itself by subtracting the x.

OpenStudy (lalaly):

subtract x from both sides, then divide by -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So now you have: 2y=-x+7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide by two: y+-x/2 + 7/2

OpenStudy (lalaly):

thats an = after the y

OpenStudy (lalaly):

:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry: y=-x/2 + 7/2

thank you very much for your explanations!!! ^_^
