how you test for amylase am I right in thinking its the same test for protei as it is a protein? or test for a level of no starch as it woulde been broken down? confused.com!

Amylase brake starch. Ok. you can incubate starch with amylase.Then add iodine. Iodine act with starch to give bark blue color. So amylase will break starch and after addition of Iodine color will not develop. If you are going do it then let me know. i will tell all thing needed to do it.
