So you know that slope is rise over run, and you know that on the bottom you will have -1, so in order to get a positive slope (which in your case is 5), you need a negative number on top too. So in order to get that your Y-value must be smaller than 6. And you know that 1-6 = -5. So your Y-value is 1.
