Write the equation of a line in slope-intercept form that has a slope of -2 and passes through the point (2, -8). A. y = -2x - 4 B. y = -2x - 8 C. y = -2x + 18 D. y = -2x – 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simple. Just plug in x and y into the equations below....or you could take the base equation. Y=mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if you plug it into equation a...you see that -4-4 = -8.

I don't understand this stuff for this unit.. that's why I keep posting these questions because no matter how much I try I don't understand it.

I don't have any graph paper though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm. You can use lined paper and make your own graphs

But I would review those basic equations.
