guys can anyone check my file and the info i mention is rit or it need any more detail thaNq

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here light energy is gained by electron of photosystem 1 and get excited and ejected from reaction centre and goes to ferrodoxin then it goes to plastocyanin where energy is released and stored in the form of ATP whereas electron again goes to photosystem and again gain light energy and excited and so on.. this is called cyclic phosphorylation

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

so what exactly is your question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have no question just preparing for exam so i m creating my own notes and wants u guys to check it out is is rit or did i miss something to mention

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see this link i had ma ques up der

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in general, your map is right. I don't know how important this is for your understandment, but the excited electron gets transfered to ferrodoxin and then "back" to the cytochome complex (plastoquinone as electron acceptor). this is an important station that you forgot in your scheme. the ATP that gets built comes from ATP synthase (you know, the spinning enzyme). while plastoquinone is oxidized (electron goes away from it and to Plastocyanine), a proton will be pumped into the thylakoid membrane. this causes osmotic pressure, spinning the "wheel" of ATP synthase.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok but in cyclic phoporylation thyllakoid.. i mean in bacteria how can it be possible??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how shouldn't it be? a cyanobacterium is in general an independent chloroplast - of course it has got thylakoids and stroma. just that it's called cytosol and thylakoid lumen.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but in cyano bacteria there is both PS1 and PS2 means cyclic +non cyclic rit in eubacteria der is PS1 means cyclic only am i rit???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.: eubacteria have chloroplasts -> PS2 and PS1 are both present. 2.: are you sure about that? I didn't find that information anywhere... if my information is correct, there are organisms that don't have PS1. the cyclic electron transport is an alternative chosen if the cell is under oxidative stress and the non-cyclic transport chain is satened.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i m nt saying i m just asking am i rit or not :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok nd thnX for helping :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good luck with you exam! =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanQ.. :)
