I have a science question and i really need HELP. Sarah wanted to know if dry soil or wet soil heats up faster in the sunlight. she measured equal amounts of dry soil into tow containers that were the same shape and size. she added 25ml of water to one container and mixed it together with the soil. What should she do to gather data that will help her answer her question? PLEASE HELP ME !!!
dry soil
the sunlight causes the wet soil to evaporate the water contained within them causing a delay in the wet soil to heat up faster
Thats Not What The Question Is Asking For . It Wants To Know What Should She Do To Gather Data That Could Help Her Answer Her Question.
Well, you will need a thermometer for each sample to measure temperature. Since you want to compare the rates at which the two samples heat up in the sunlight you will need a watch and you will need to take readings from your thermometers after given time intervals, say every 5mins or so (depends on how much data you want to gather). Eventually, both samples will reach the same temperature and your experiment will be over.
