I have the linear congruence 5x ≡ 89 mod 6, and the I want to find the inverse of the coefficient of x, which would end up being [5]^-1. Could someone show me how, please?

The explanation I was looking at says that 5^2 ≡ 25 mod 6 ≡ 1 mod 6, so [5]=[5]^-1. Could someone clarify?

I'm trying to understand how 5^2≡25 mod 6 is reduced to 5^2≡ 1mod 6
