Any good essay writers? Need major help!
?
What, specifically do you need help with? Also, as an aside, I noticed you posted questions like this in Math a few times. Please keep the writing-specific questions in the Writing group like you have here. :)
Yea sorry noone was respondind so do you mind joing me at http://www.twiddla.com/648076 so we can discuss about it more easyier

I'm sorry, I'm more than happy to help you but twiddla has never worked properly on my computer. I suspect it has something to do with one of the plugins in my browser - but honestly don't use it often enough to fix it. I'm a Software Engineer for OpenStudy anyway, so I feel the need to be loyal to my product too. haha.
What does twiddla do that makes it better than OpenStudy, if you don't mind my asking?
lol ok then do you mind helping here or else where?
I can help for a little while, if you have specific questions. I'm going to be on for a few minutes or so. And if I have to leave I'll be able to respond later as well.
Ok i need help starting a three page essay like guiding
based on Generally, liberals believe that people are poor because of circumstances beyond their control (economics, health, society, family background), while conservatives believe people are poor because of their own individual failures (laziness, lack of character). What do you believe? What steps would you propose to reduce poverty on the basis of what you think causes it?
Ok, well the first step to an essay like this is to decide what it *is* you actually believe. Do you agree with the conservatives or liberals in this essay prompt?
Somewhat do not agree
With which side? Do you disagree with the liberals or the conservatives?
liberals
i agree with the liberals
Ok, awesome. Now, if I asked you to give me three examples of why the conservatives are right, what would you tell me?
i disagree with the conservatives
Sorry, I didn't see your second message. hah. Three examples of why you agree with the *liberals*?
What things have you seen that back up their point of view?
what are liberals again?
Here "liberals" is a political term. In the US, this term usually refers to member of the Democratic party. There are a lot of things that go along with that, but that's the gist of it. It usually means those people who are in favor of the government working directly to improve the quality of life of its citizens. In contrast, conservatives would prefer smaller government and let private industry improve quality of life.
what would u go far?
Well, I'm a political moderate, so I see benefits to both arguments. However, this paper is going to be significantly easier if you write it based on what *you* think. It makes the writing go by a lot faster.
id go with liberals
so
Ok, so then you need to come up with three arguments for why they are right.
hmm
Liberals have the equal rights Liberals vote for citizens 'liberalism' fractures into a variety of types and competing visions
Right, so those are really not reasons why the liberals are correct about the condition of poverty. One possible example you could say is this: The liberals are correct because many people in poverty can not find a job that pays well, which is something outside of their control. See what I mean?
yeah can u help me with the intro
Sure, so usually with an intro paragraph you want to do a few different things. 1. Give some background on the prompt. 2. Give a brief overview of the supporting points of your argument. 3. State your argument. 4. If you feel like you need it, then you may also want to add a "bridge sentence" to transition into your first supporting paragraph. What do you need help with?
my brains not working
can u write a few
Well, I'm not going to write one on your prompt, but I could provide you with some example introductions for other topics if you like.
i need help with my prompt though
Right, but if I write things specifically on your prompt and you use them - then that would be plagiarism. So, I don't want to tempt you to do that. :) That said, it would be a good idea to start with a few sentences about how *you* have seen poverty in your life. That would make for some good background sentences.
Can u write out the intro then i write the rest im confused please
I'm sorry, I can't do that. It would be cheating which is against our Code of Conduct. :(
idk =/
im not a good essay writer
Haha, I wasn't for a long time either. Sometimes, the key to a good paper when it's an argumentative essay (like this one) is to just start writing what you think about it. And then take a break for an hour and read it and figure out what you could do better.
After you get your ideas on a page, they are a lot easier to organize after the fact, in my opinion.
so if i go for liberals how do i start an intro
Start talking about poverty in general. Has poverty affected you or someone you know? Talk about that for a few sentences to get started.
Of course, don't mention names or mention details that are specific enough for someone to figure out who you're talking about. ;)
lol what was the wink for
It was just a "I'm stating something I think is obvious" emoticon. haha.
lol oh
how many sentences in an intro
For a paper like this, I'd probably use 5 or 6 sentences.
k
Awesome. Seriously, just start writing and see what you end up with. If you want some advice on how to make it better you can always post what you've written and ask for a critique. That, I can do. I just can't write it for you.

No.

Because, while it explains a bit of the background of one of the points of view, it doesn't give the reader an idea of what *your* argument is going to be. It also doesn't have a thesis statement, which is the statement that represents the overall argument for your paper.
Is it a good topic?
Also, you just copied and pasted a bunch of stuff I wrote - which will get you popped for plagiarism by your teacher. Everything on OpenStudy is indexed by Google and other services so they will be able to scan for stuff that was written on here.
oh
they wouldnt know
Everyone that I know who thought that got expelled by the time they made it to university. Don't bet on it.
oh
Like I said, you need to write the paper yourself. I'm not going to write it for you. Start the paper, and feel free to post questions in here asking for a critique.

is that good topic? for an example
That's better. It gives the reader an idea of where you are going. You'll need to re-work it to include more supporting arguments, however.
But for now, I've got to go. Keep going and see what you end up with. And please remove some of the stuff that I wrote and replace it with stuff that you wrote yourself. It'll make the paper a lot better! Best of luck!
thxs i dont waana do it
