OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need help solving a percent problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can someone help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have 3 numbers and i need to find that percentage

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go for it :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those numbers are 52.5, 50.5 and 62 sorry 61

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so are those 3 grades and you want to find the average %?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea the whole percentage of the test scores is 90 i havent gotten last score yet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are they all worth 30%? or have different values?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

makes a big difference

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the scores are out of 80

OpenStudy (anonymous):

52.5/80

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you do 52.5/80 on your calculator, you get a decimal point. it will be useful later to be able to read percentages as decimal points. although, the value is (52.5/80) x 100 = 65.6%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/100 = 0.01 = 1%. times 10; 10/100 = 1/10 = 0.1 = 10%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 61/80 x 100 = 76.25%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so with the scores i gave u be4 what r the answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need to my percentage out of 90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i have a score of 50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

65.6% 63.1% 76.3%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the total out of 90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it is different whether each test is worth 30% out of 90% or if the tests are like 25-30-35

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i gave u the scores

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats not the right piece of info

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and btw is it 52.5% or 52.5/80 = 65.6%?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is different whether the test are all worth the same or not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

points of tests are 80 and there are 4 of them the total percntage is 90%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

theres 4 now? lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

62 and 61?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought 61 corrected 62

OpenStudy (anonymous):

62

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol its kind of unclear. if you are getting this online is it possible to screenshot all the info? especially stuff pertaining ( weight %)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i gave u the info

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont have enough info, like if all test are equal in weight. i know their sum = 90% out of the final 100% grade

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if they all have same weight, you have 70.6% (50.5+52.5+61+62)/(80*4) * 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the scores you gave me are not %s but scores out of 80

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u figured out the percentages

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

65.6% 63.1% 76.3% 77.5%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but its not 100 its 90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with 10% added at the end

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya its 70.6, and it would assume (10/10) but if you want to consider it as if u had (0/10), your % is 63.6%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how is it 63.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is more confusing than it should be for some reason.. screenshot please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill know right away

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do u mean by screenshot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, my teachers put my grades and info online. otherwise picture or scan outline or wherever it gives clear depiction of what is worth what.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill write to to what is one my paper

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says there will be 4 tests each test is worth 80 points and will be a total of 90 of the final score

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how can u have 320 points?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there will also be a short paper worth 10% of the final grade

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

each test is worth 80

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but the teacher doesnt grade based on points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 4 tests are 80 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90% of the total score is the tests
