I am unable to understand some of the concepts because I am unfamiliar with the math. Can anyone recommended a math book or another course to help with this?

idk exactly what in there, but usually, they explain how to do, and you just write code for it, there is no need to understand why it works this way but not another way.

yes look up Khan academy. Some of the maths is hard but that level is not really needed for all programming. However you will need some. I don't think you really need Newtons Law at this level for example but some you need and you should brush up if you want to be good at it.

I went to an openday at a private college they told me I needed to know year 11 maths plus get to know matrices and vectors and some phyics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah you need some maths and it's called discrete maths, where you learn about logic, probabilty, vectors, matrices, functions, sets. maybe something else

The math here isn't that intensive. Don't be scared :-D
