factorise : x^2 - 3x - 10?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

x^2 - 3x - 10 x^2 - 5x + 2x - 10 (x^2 - 5x) + (2x - 10) x(x-5) + 2(x-5) (x+2)(x-5) So x^2 - 3x - 10 completely factors to (x+2)(x-5)
