The length of an actual car is 14 ft 10 in. The length of a model car is 8 in. What is that ratio of the length of the actual car to the length of the model car?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

178= total inches of car model converted from feet to inches 178/8= 22.25/1 (the actual ratio)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't get it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you first convert 14 feet and 10 inches of the real car to inches (178) Then you divide this total by the inches of the car model (178/8) Then you are left with a result of 22.25/1, the answer
