A cyclist travelled 3/4 of his journey at an average speed of 12 km/h. He then decreased his speed by 3 km/h to complete the remaining 18 km. How long did he take to complete the whole journey?

OpenStudy (jamesj):

So we need to find the time for the two segments. For the first three quarters, we know that the distance is 3 x 18 km = 54 km and his speed was 12 km/hr. So that segment took 54/12 hours = 4.5 hours Now you figure out the time for the other segment and add it to 4.5 hours.

Ohohoooo, I see, dang I feel so stupid, thanks man
