Hi, I'm final year b.tech student andI don't understand any of the projects on openhatch or launchpad ...Is it only for professionals with experience or even for novice user ? plz help ..! how can i begin ?

Not sure what you mean. Understanding isn't something that comes instantly. Dive in, see what the projects are trying to do, and then try to figure out how.

You don't necessarily need to contribute, honestly, though you can if you'd like. To start with though, just download their code and play with it and compile it locally. Play with it on your computer, and then see if there are things you think you can fix that are wrong with it. Then find a mailing list or IRC room for the project and ask if they need any help with anything.
